Madelyn Sprigg (Madison Halley)
Madelyn Sprigg attends high school and has enjoyed her father's journey into film. She had the unique experience of participating in the film making process from beginning to end. The Pitch is Madelyn's first experience acting. She was honored to take lessons with both Patrick and Belinda specific to the role of Madison Halley. Madelyn is a visual art major in her school for the arts. Madelyn has played softball for many seasons in a local league as a pitcher. She was proud to be a part of her school's softball championship team in 2013 and 2014. In 2015, Madelyn was the starting pitcher for her high school's JV team as a freshman. Madelyn loves the outdoors and nature, girl scouts, and hanging with her brother and sisters. For Madelyn, this is a very special opportunity that she has embraced. Madelyn's Dad hopes, most of all, she learns how passion, creativity, commitment, hard work and collaboration can create something of excellence: a lesson to be applied to anything she takes on in life as she grows older.
Deland Nuse, Director of Photography
Deland Nuse is a Lecturer in UCLA’s Department of Film, Television and Digital Media, specializing in Digital and Film Cinematography and Film Aesthetics. He has also taught at San Francisco State University, West Los Angeles College, The Los Angeles Film School and Loyola Marymount University. After completing his undergraduate and postgraduate work in the California State University system, Professor Nuse did graduate work in Experimental Psychology (learning, cognition and perception) at the University of New Mexico, and for the next few years, he worked in the Mental Health profession.
However, a lifelong interest in film brought him to the graduate program in Cinema Studies at San Francisco State University where he completed his M.A. in Film production in 1984. In the San Francisco area, he shot several of short films and documentaries including the award winning, The Other Bridge. After moving to Los Angeles, he worked as an electrician, best boy and gaffer to learn the lighting techniques for feature film production. In 1987, he was hired to shoot his first feature, Natural Instinct. The cinematography of that film garnered positive critical attention and led to work on seven other independent features. Professor Nuse is also currently working as a director and cinematographer. In 2006, he received the Triple Play Award for Cinematography for the film, The Showdown, at the Long Island Film/Video Expo in 2007. Most recently for his work on the short film The Pitch, Professor Nuse was Nominated for Best Cinematography at the Hollywood Dreamz International Film Festival, August 2017, in Las Vegas, NV, and he won the Awards of Merit for Cinematography at the Accolade Global Film Competition, 2016, La Jolla, Ca. To date, Nuse's vision behnd the camera for The Pitch has earned the film 36 Official Selections and 12 wins. |
Patrick Mulderigg (Coach)
Patrick Mulderigg was trained at the William Esper Studio in NYC and has been a member of the Howard Fine Master Class in Los Angeles. He has appeared on television, film and numerous stages in and around the L.A. area. His latest film is "Ambushed," with Dolph Lundgren where he plays a DEA agent. Patrick is in the process of shooting a web series that he co-wrote and directed called, "A Cannibal's Handshake." It is scheduled to be out in the Fall.
Belinda Gosbee (Mom)
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
Birth Name Belinda Lee Gosbee Born and raised in The Blue Mountains of Sydney Australia, Belinda Gosbee has carved out a career across two continents, and three mediums, working continuously across TV, film and theatre. She was first seen as the national face of BankWest's original Mastercard campaign, shortly followed by a break out role in Bryan Brown's hugely successful Two Twisted series opposite Dan Wyllie and Peta Wilson. From here she appeared in several acclaimed short films, including Donna Chang's delicate father-daughter drama, Comfort Food, which was sold to the UK's Propeller TV and in a recurring role on Rescue: Special Ops. Classically theatre trained, Belinda received rave reviews for her work on the Sydney stage, including two sold-out seasons as Elizabeth Proctor in Arthur Miller's The Crucible. Other significant stage roles include Michelle in Gordon Graham's The Boy's, Hero in Much Ado About Nothing and Mary Brenham in Timberlake Wertenbaker's Our Country's Good. Belinda most recently can be seen in J. Edgar opposite Leo DiCaprio; puts on some small town Louisiana charm as the lead in indie thriller East Stackton; and can be heard voicing the ghosts of WWII San Diego for The Giskin Anomaly, an award winning Balboa Park tourism initiative. She was the lead in Santa Monica Fire Brigade's 2012'anti-texting' campaign, which went on to win both a Telly and an Indie Fest award, and was nominated as Best Actress at the 2013 Toscar's Film Festival for her lead role in Oscar parody, Breasts of the Southland Wild.
