Short Film, Long Journey

I am the writer and director of the film The Pitch. After two years of work, The Pitch is close to completion. Wow! This journey is fueled by passion, energized by creativity and support by my family, made possible by the talents of others, and is a lesson in slow and gradual persistence. Looking back, this is the journey of The Pitch:

• June 2010 - UCLA Film Music course begins
• Sept 2010 - UCLA Advanced Film 1
• Oct 2010 - Script to The Pitch completed
• Oct 2010 - Pre-production process begins
• Jan 2011 - UCLA Advanced Film 2
• Feb 2011 - Filming days 1,2 (Dream Sequences)
• June 2011 - Filming days 3,4,5 (Softball Sequences)
• July 2011 - Editing begins
• Dec 2011 - First of five screen tests begins
• June 2012 - Editing complete / locked picture (6th version of film)
• June 2012 - Sound design begins
• July 2012 - Color correction complete
• July 2012 - Original music score begins (12 cues)
• Oct 2012 - 12 of 12 cues completed
• Nov 2012 - Screen Test Music 1
  
• Jan 2013 - Rewrite Select Cues - 2nd Draft. Music Screen Test 2.
  
• Feb 2013 - Music Composition Complete. Orchestration Begins with Jeffrey Alan Jones
  

I am looking forward to finishing strong, and hoping you get a chance to see The Pitch in a local film festival someday soon.
