Student Film
The Pitch was a student film under the Entertainment Studies and Performing Arts program and assigned by Advanced Film 1 and 2 under teacher Richard Friedman in 2010-2011. The Pitch pre-production and most of the production was completed during Advanced Film 1 and 2, however, due to the scope of the project post production took an additional two years. The time required was due to budget, and the fact that I personally edited and took my time screen testing six versions of the film, as well as composed the film's music. As an adult student with four children and a separate career, UCLA extension was a blessing for someone in my circumstances and with my aspirations. Most of the the film work occurred on weekends and late nights after work. When the film was finally completed I received a 'A' in Advanced Film 2, and The Pitch screened with other advanced film students at UCLA's Bridge's Auditorium in the Spring of 2013. A short film, but a long road, made possible by the people and experiences afforded through UCLA extension. Learn more about UCLA Extension and The Pitch.
